First of all, thanks all for your tips on how to unravel my life from GMail. I’ve slowly started to migrate over to Proton mail (slightly controversial but I feel the full suite will be easier to sell my wife on, who loves her big tech corpos)
This service is run by online buddies of mine who ran VPS hosting for a long time. I expect it to be pretty good, though I’m not currently using it. mxroute.com is also around and comparable, though I think it is only sited in the US for now. Cranemail also has a US location.

I want to start with an update on my apps as I (and we) use everyday our smartphones. And a smartphone without Google shit on it is always better.

Hello everybody! One of the last google software I use is my gmail, mainly since I’ve had it for so long and migrating seems daunting. It’s time however.
I shared a version of this guide earlier this year, but felt a website was needed to unpack the different options fully. So after an unreasonable number of hours, I put together the necessary data and website.
Is this as safe as installing Lineage OS, microG, and F-Droid seperately? I am thinking to finally make the jump away from Android (and preferrably all of Google) and this looks like a really really handy solution. Perhaps too handy, if you get my drift. Is this a legit project or is it just a wrapper to send all my data to Tel Aviv?
Since the developers of Magic Earth decided to pull a bait-and-switch with their latest update, locking the automatic dashcam function behind a perpetual 15$/year paywall, I need a new alternative that ideally also supports automatic dashcam recording while navigating. Does anybody have a good recommendation?
